Sideloading on iOS & iPadOS with Sideloadly (>16.7, 17.0)

Preparatory Tasks

Enabling Developer Mode
  1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, open Settings
  2. Privacy & Security > Developer Mode
  3. Toggle the switch "On" and follow the instructions to restart
Collecting Tools
  1. Download and install Sideloadly to a computer from the following link
  2. If you're using Windows, uninstall any installations of iTunes present on the target system, then download and install iTunes using the following link
  3. Download the .ipa file for the app you'd like to install to your computer
  4. Remove any installations of an app already present on the target device before attempting to install a sideloaded copy

Sideloading an App

Installation
  1. Connect your iOS or iPadOS device to your computer via USB and launch Sideloadly
  2. Click "IPA" and navigate to the .ipa file previously downloaded
  3. Type your Apple ID email address into the "Apple account:" field
  4. Click "Start"
  5. Enter your Apple ID password into the field when prompted
  6. Enter the verification code that appears on your iOS or iPadOS device into the field when prompted
  7. Disconnect the device once complete and exit
Trusting the Developer
  1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, open Settings
  2. General > VPN & Device Management
  3. Tap your Apple ID, then tap "Trust [Apple ID]"
  4. Tap "Trust" then exit
